Dan Hunter about his love of the city and opinion on style:
26 years old from Middletown, CT.
" Personal style has been always been embedded in my mind, heart, and soul. Fashion is more than a passion of mine. My personal look consists of a classic uniformed look in combination with street wear with a hint of eccentricity. My style is ever evolving, yet there are key pieces to every style that creates one’s “look” that separates an individual from the rest. A great shoe to wear when it rains or snows is the Gucci Splash Horsebit Loafer. Every outfit worn is carefully chosen to complement each day accordingly; whether your schedule calls for attending an event, such as a wedding which would call for a black or blue suit, or if your day will consist of relaxation and fun at a ball game, which calls for worn denim and a form-fitting jacket. A great color for the spring and summer months is high blue. A vital piece to every man’s wardrobe should include a leather jacket. Personal styling at Nordstrom gave me the product knowledge to incorporate the proper pieces to construct a solid look. Raggs has taught me how to buy the right products for the store while considering appropriate demographic and price points. Style is a direct reflection of your personality and a representation of your demeanor in life. "

THE OWL SHOP.
The Owl Shop was originally opened on Wall Street in 1934 by Joseph St. John who came to America from Greece in 1925. Beginning originally as a bookstore, he was also selling tobacco and mixing his own blends. In 1937, a second store on College Street was opened by Joseph and his wife Catherine, also of Greek descent. Expanding to having five stores they decided in 1951 to have everything under one roof, the College Street location.

ORDINARY NEW HAVEN RESTAURANT.
Founded in 1638 by English Puritans, New Haven became a leading port city. In 1641, the town surveyor, John Brocket, created a nine square grid plan, designing the first city plan in the United States. The center square was where the public market, meeting house, jail, gallows and cemetery were located. The surrounding squares were divided into home lots for the town planters, or founders. One of those men was Stephen Goodyear. He was a leading merchant who became Deputy Governor of New Haven Colony and was the first to brew beer here in 1646. Goodyear built a mansion on the corner of College & Chapel Streets around that time. By 1659, John Harriman lived there and ran the town Ordinary, or tavern. This site was convenient to sailors and ship builders because the original wharf was located down College Street on the old East Creek.
